Many of may realize there is a void in our life and feel something is missing which is not giving us the joy, the happiness, the satisfaction and the quality of life that we want.

But still so many of us go through the motions of living life.

If you want live life fully – the best that you can - it is possible

But for that - you must be willing to take actions to re-create the life you want and deserve.

It is simple – and that is why it is very difficult and for some people almost impossible – this is the biggest paradox of our life.

So what is the big secret – there is really no secret.

The only secret is that we have simply to learn to accept - that our successes, our happiness's, our relationships comes from the simplest reasons and from the most basics.

Take for instance happiness - how many big reasons for happiness you can have in your entire life – you can probably count them all in one hand.

Real happiness comes from appreciating, recognizing and doing small-small things, actions and gestures.

Then take the problems – the problems can be complicated – but the solutions are always very simple – it is the syndrome of not able to see under our nose that makes everything complicated and complex.

However simplifying your life is not an end result or destination – it is the habit, mindset and how you live, think, behave and act.

  • 1.Focusing on doing what is important but not urgent is the key.
  • 2.Identify what is the most important in your life right now - and give it your utmost focus and your 100% - pay less attention OR ignore to what is not very important.
  • 3.Identify what makes you feel blissful, meaningful and fulfilled

4.Identify which are the tasks or commitments that keeps you away from your life the way you want it

5.Identify which of these tasks or commitments are negotiable and which are not

6.The ones which are non-negotiable are your must do

7.The ones those are negotiable – are the candidates for dismissal - it may not happen overnight but you have to start working on how to minimize their demand of time on yourself

8.Now identify your major time-hijackers - to avoid these - you have to learn to say no to people and situations by becoming assertive.

9.Our other necessary time consumer can be handled by the simple formula of delegate or outsource

10.Identify what new things You must start doing to make your life more productive and meaningful

11.Plus what You must stop doing

12.Plus what You must start doing differently

13.One day each week or at least every fortnight - assume that you are in primitive age – no communication mode exists except for face to face verbal communication – this is the day to spend with your loved ones and your with your most near and dear ones.

14.Identify those relationships – which pulls you down - creates stress - drains your energy – you have let go of these relationships

15.Identify the physically unhealthy habits – smoking, overthinking, overanalyzing

16.Identify the people who make you feel better and bigger than you – ensure to regularly meeting and interacting with these people

17.The vacations, outings, change of scene - every month once can be the minimum – if you cannot manage every week.

18.Identify one in a week time and way - when you will help someone, without expecting anything in return - make it a family event that is if everyone in family can join in helping together in that cause

19.De-clutter your house - all the things that you have not used in last 6 months are simply sucking the energy of house. Sell, throw, give these to the needy[these can be utensils, furniture, clothes, and anything that is occupying space but can be used by others]

21.De-clutter your mind - identify which are the people who makes you feel angry just by thinking about them – they should be forgiven, rather than giving them the power to hurt you

24.Once in a week make it a family activity day – maybe cooking, gardening, cleaning by all the members together - with a reward celebration later

25.Create a time of uninterrupted slot on everyday basis – when you will just be with yourself – alone – to dream, to meditate and to introspect

26.Re-create and start doing one hobby that gives you maximum happiness

27.Get rid of that ego which makes you go for bigger house, bigger cars and so on. Many billionaire in this world live frugally and do not bother about these.

28.Eat healthy – say no to junk foods

29.Identify a reading list and read at least a book in 3 weeks.

30.Always ask yourself before doing anything – will this make my life simpler and happier – if yes go ahead if no – reconsider

Here is an interesting story – taken from the internet

An american tourist was at the pier of a small coastal mexican village when a small boat with just one fisherman docked.

Inside the small boat were several large yellowfin tuna. The tourist complimented the mexican on the quality of his fish and asked how long it took to catch them.

The mexican replied, "only a little while."

The tourist then asked, "why didn't you stay out longer and catch more fish?"

The mexican said, "with this i have more than enough to support my family's needs."

The tourist then asked, "but what do you do with the rest of your time?"

The mexican fisherman said, "i sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take siesta with my wife, maria, stroll into the village each evening where i sip wine and play guitar with my amigos, i have a full and busy life."

The tourist scoffed, " i can help you. You should spend more time fishing; and with the proceeds, buy a bigger boat: with the proceeds from the bigger boat you could buy several boats.

Eventually you would have a fleet of fishing boats. Instead of selling your catch to a middleman you would sell directly to the processor; eventually opening your own cannery. You would control the product, processing and distribution. You could leave this small coastal fishing village and move to mexico city, then los angeles and eventually new york where you could run your ever-expanding enterprise."

The mexican fisherman asked, "but, how long will this all take?"

The tourist replied, "15 to 20 years."

"but what then?" asked the mexican.

The tourist laughed and said, "that's the best part. When the time is right you would sell your company stock to the public and become very rich, you would make millions."

"millions?...then what?"

The american said, "then you would retire. Move to a small coastal fishing village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take siesta with your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings where you could sip wine and play your guitar with your amigos."
