How to Make Your Memorizing Abilities Sharp - how to sharpen your memory
Let me tell you two contradictory facts – about how memory functions.
Fact 1 - although most of us [those who regularly use their brain-functions on a deeper & higher levels] have great unconscious memory.
Your unconscious memory–files-away – all the important information that you consider important – this happens when your all the basic 5 senses are absorbing all what you are experiencing while going through various aspects of life.
In many instances – you may not be consciously aware that you have learned or have saved a particular info - but when the suitable time comes – your subconscious will take over and make you take appropriate action- based on this learning or experience.
Most of our fears that we have - we have learned and acquired from only one incident specific to that fear.
Let me give you an example – let us say every-day you are switching off and on an electric switch -suppose one day when you try to switch off or on - you get electric shock. Even after you have replaced the switch – for many days you will remember instantly whenever you try to operate that switch.
Fact 2 – Even though you might have in your brain's data-base/Brain-CPU – a certain information, you might not be able to recall it – on the occasion you need it - Because you have not exercised this muscle at all.
In this article – I would be focusing on – how to have a sharp memorizing ability to remember important things effectively PLUS how to make the transfer from subconscious data-base to your conscious memory – in an automatic manner.
For that you need to keep your brain organized and uncluttered.
Now I am coming to something which is called Photographic memory – this is such a great and attracting idea for most of the people.
Maybe there are some people who have the right manner of genetic programming – which enables them to remember anything and almost everything easily and also are able to retain all of the info and learning - for indefinite periods of time.
In my case - I have found that even when - I don't exercise my memory and brain muscles everyday – I start experiencing memory issues and discover that it has become little blunter.
Our memory muscles are very-very dynamic and very fragile.
Unless you exercise them regularly in the right way– this is not very difficult and most of time become unconscious action steps - and like any worthwhile habits – you have to put in determined conscious and disciplined efforts and adequate practice to reach unconscious competence-levels.
