There was a time I was financially & emotionally a wreck. And because I did not have any money - I never thought of helping anybody financially, and because I was not happy myself - it never occurred to me to do something for others to make them happy. And this continued for next few years.
Once I came across & happen to spend few days with a person, who was always giving something extra to people who had limited means, sometimes for no reason.
I asked him why do you do this, when you yourself are struggling & his answer was Subhashis - yes I might be going through a tough time, but there are the people who are worse than me. My giving few rupees may not change their life significantly - but at least for that time they feel happy & seeing them happy also makes me feel great - later I also learned that he spends lot of time doing Pro_Bono work for the helpless.
This Incident struck with me for next few months - then there was a call from National Association of Blind - asking me to do a free motivational program for them - I did that & it felt Good, soon after I was asked whether I can sponsor education for a girl child which costed at that time 300 Rs. per month, I did that.
I realized it much later maybe after 3 years - that from the time I started doing these activities - there was all-around growth for not only me but for my entire family & I had 10 times more income
The family happiness was also on all time high.

Not at all - Because when you help others YOU OPERATE FROM THE REALM OF "HOPE, LOVE & FAITH". and that naturally puts you into a frame of mind which as per law of nature or law of attraction => Makes You Open To Receiving & Keeping Abundance - Financial, Mental, emotional, physical, Spiritual, Social
