The current job scenario in India has come to such a pass -where even IITians from the original 5 IITs - are either not getting placement OR getting placed at previously unheard-of lowest salary packages say of 4-LPA [4800 USD/Year] on cost to company basis.
You can imagine the plight of more than 1.5 million engineering graduates from say tier two/three/four-level colleges.
This statistic is just for one of the professional courses – can you imagine the predicament of BA/BCom/BSc, MA/MCom/MSc, and PhDs from the run-of-the-mill colleges and universities?
The latest was thousands of Postgraduates who applied for the sweeper position and were being paid the minimum wages of INR @500/day – USD 6/- [ or USD 180/month].
