67 Practical Tips For Practicing Essentialism And To Create Personal Freedom And An Immensely Successful Life

Have you wondered why many highly successful people - never cross their initial level of massive success - make it to the next grander level?

There could be many factors, reasons and causes responsible for this.

In this article, I am considering two of the major factors that may stop people from breaking the ceiling of already acquired success to go to the next higher level.

First, there is a phenomenon known as the Success Paradox.

As per the concept of the Success Paradoxthe first massive success leads to creating a large number of options and opportunities – which needs insightful planning and strategic management and if not done correctly and carefully may - lead to diluted and diffused efforts – which can trigger bad decisions and a journey downhill Or a stagnated growth story.

Second, you are living a life – where you are pulled in different directions because of multiple demands [at times all may seem equally important to you making it very challenging to discern which one is of greater importance] on your time, efforts, energy and other resources – and are under tremendous pressure.

To overcome both the aforesaid factors – you may consider Living your life as an Essentialist.

Essentialism is a focused mindset of doing only what is the most essential top priority in your life.

People who follow Essentialism put their maximum effort in their highest of high pay-off activities and much less effort in what could be their low pay-off or insignificant tasks.

These people become experts in identifying opportunities and what will take them to their Big Picture faster and more effectively.

As a result, they avoid distractions and also gain a lot of freedom in how they live their life.

They choose to have fewer but most meaningful and powerfully focused goals.

Their criteria for selecting what is important to them - is also very unique.

Essentialists look for sustainable and functional value in everything that they do.

They are very much focused on learning and investing in themselves which adds long-term value to them and their goals.

They also tackle all the problems they are facing head-on

All the above are the positive sides of Essentialism.

Essentialism also has some serious downsides as well.

But this happens for the people who lack correct understanding about Essentialism and are not actually aware of how they can make their life fruitful and satisfying by being an Essentialist and practicing the right concepts.

6 Examples of negative essentialism practices where essentialism gives negative, toxic, or damaging results – when people start assuming and generalizing and stereotyping.

1. Women are poor drivers or engineers or they only like pink or they are not interested in or knowledgeable about sports
2. People of the working classes are not very intelligent
3. People of a certain race are inherently good
4. All women are naturally nurturing
5. All men are aggressive
6. People from certain religions are the most negative and should be eliminated or thrown out

Besides Essentialists lifestyle – there is another interesting lifestyle called Minimalist living - Read my blog - Why to Live a Minimalist Life 67 Tips for Creating Minimalist Lifestyle.

Both Essentialism & Minimalism have similarities as well as completely different focuses – and you may think of adopting both in your lifestyle choice.

Minimalist living is about having the ability to afford YET not indulge in the wastages of show-offs.

Minimalist living is not living like a pauper and extremely wanting or sacrificing or compromising with your comforts, joys, fun, happiness, growth and pleasures and values.

Minimalist living is - living in a way that gives you sustainable joy, happiness, freedom, satisfaction, mental and emotional fulfillment - in a true sense.

Minimalist living is living your life to the fullest.
